Save Gas - Burn Wood ! And Save The Planet at the Same Time !!

Keep your home warm at a fraction of the cost of gas:

If you burn dry wood, bought in bulk, in a good quality woodburning stove, you can save a substantial proportion of your gas bill.

At the time of writing, a truck load of logs weighing approximately two tonnes costs about £170.00 delivered.

Our Stove Showroom is 340 m3 and is heated solely by wood. In a typical year, we burn about a tonne - £85.00 !!

A modern 20' x 12' lounge is less than 60m3 . You do the sums!

Nestor-Martin Harmony H13 Smoke Control Approved Stove. And thats not all:

Woodburning stoves need only a tiny amount of air for combustion; so cold air is not being drawn into the room in the form of draughts.

This means that doors to adjacent rooms can be left open, allowing warm air to permeate throughout the house. A hall door left open will guarantee cosy warm bedrooms.

Most of the time, your central heating will be turned off, but even if your gas central-heating is running, the warm air from the stove will turn down the thermostatic radiator valves so the amount of gas used is dramatically reduced.

It gets better:

Carbon-neutral, Eco-friendly, Sustainable.

  • Wood-burning is the most environmentally friendly way of producing heat in your home.
  • Wood is a totally renewable resource, not dependent on foreign suppliers.
  • Wood is Carbon neutral - see right. The carbon di-oxide released when burned is only that absorbed during the lifetime of the tree.
  • Emissions from efficient woodburning are principally Wood-ash and water vapour - both absorbed back into the environment with no harm to the ecology.
Wood-burning is a carbon neutral and sustainable heating source.
